Adam Plachetka Returns to Znojmo Music Festival

One of the Czech Republic's leading opera singers, Adam Plachetka, returns to the Znojmo Music Festival after a year's absence. Audiences will have the opportunity to see him in the festival's new production of Jean-Philippe Rameau's opera-ballet Les Indes galantes, where he will perform the roles of Bellone and Don Alvar. This spectacular production, featuring an international cast, will be presented on 16, 18 and 19 July 2026 at the newly opened Jízdárna Cultural Centre, located within the historic Louka Monastery complex in Znojmo.

Joining Adam Plachetka on stage will be French tenor Jean-François Lombard, sopranos Hana Blažíková, Lenka Máčiková, and Doubravka Novotná, tenor Michal Marhold, bass Lukáš Zeman, and tenor Vojtěch Semerád. The production will be conducted by Tomáš Netopil, directed by Tomáš Ondřej Pilař, with choreography by Martin Šinták. Musical accompaniment will be provided by the SILENTIUM! Ensemble.
